This painting started off as a creativity exercise that I sometimes do with my students. Slowly pour paint onto the surface until it forms an interesting, irregular puddle in the middle. Once it dries, the artist's job is to turn that puddle into something else. It's a nice exercise to do when you are feeling a little stuck or uninspired.
